About
Our mission is to provide quality environmental service with a
commitment to innovative solutions in transportation, disposal and waste management.
Over 30 years of Expert & Affordable Waste Transportation Solutions.
Tonawanda Tank Transport Service Inc. was incorporated in 1978 as the first licensed waste transporter in New York State. The Tonawanda Group of Companies was created through the purchase of Tonawanda Tank in 1985, the 1995 formation of Tonawanda Environmental Corp. (TEC), Tonawanda Leasing Corp. (TLC) and Tonawanda Tank Transport of Ohio.
We are all very proud of the accomplishments of the Tonawanda Group of Companies over the years. For example, in the last two years we have spent more than $1 million acquiring new tractors, new trailers for our Buffalo and Cincinnati terminals and a new computer system for both locations. As a group of companies, we now have over 170 pieces of equipment and are permitted in 42 states and 3 Canadian provinces to transport hazardous and industrial waste.
We have accumulated numerous assets over the past 21 years, however, the most valuable asset is our staff. TEC, has an average seniority in the waste industry of 15.8 years, with a high of 33 years and a low of 2 years. Our professional HAZWOPER trained drivers with Tonawanda Tank Transport Service have an average of 10 years experience, hauling nothing but industrial and hazardous waste

History
Tonawanda Tank Transport Services, Inc. was incorporated in 1978 to provide hazardous and industrial waste transportation services. In 1985, Thomas Napier acquired the company with the intention of growing the company by expanding the services offered by Tonawanda Tank with the goal to become a full service environmental company.
Mr. Napier created an extensive Less than Truckload (LTL) service most waste management companies. In addition to affordable transportation and disposal services, Tonawanda Tank began providing the necessary shipping documents and drum labels long before this was a standard practice among waste companies. Shipping reports were also made available to aid in regulatory reporting.
In 1995, Tonawanda Tank evolved into four companies to form the Tonawanda Group of Companies. Tonawanda Tank would continue to function as the operation sand logistics company. Tonawanda Environmental Corporation (TEC) was formed to provide sales, service and environmental expertise to our clients and better portray the full service environmental company image of the organization. Tonawanda Leasing Corporation and Tonawanda Tank of Ohio were formed to function as asset management companies for the group.
